About Kalvträsk

Kalvträsk is a village in the western part of Skellefteå municipality, Västerbotten, Sweden. There is currently only 35 people living here, although that number increases significantly during the summer as well as during holidays.

In Kalvträsk you can find both friendly and welcoming people as well as a fantastic nature – true wilderness just an hour away from the Swedish coast. The area houses one of Västerbotten’s most prized forest areas: The Vitberget nature reserve, which is classed as one Europe’s most valuable nature areas. There are also a number of events arranged in Kalvträsk each year, such as fishing competitions, the kolbulle festival, homecoming days, a beach volley tournament, food evenings, sauna evenings, winter bathing, and rafting.
